Rollerskating

Also on Sam's birthday we went rollerskating. Everyone had a lot of fun.

Sam’s 8th Bday

Sam really enjoyed his birthday. We went out to lunch and rollerskating. And for dinner he had chicken alfredo and apple pies.

Some things

This was a first and surprised me. Toilet paper that tears in a squiggly line!

Steve and I went on a date where we played pool. We played three games, Steve won two of them.

The cranes at our park had some babies! Here you can see a couple of them on the tree branches in the lake.

Steve went on a really fun bike ride with Dario and Brian and they came across these hot air balloons!
Sam wrote us this sweet note.

Working Out

I have been working on building some workkut routines. It has been a lot of fun getting into better shape this year.

First Day of Dance!

Charity, Hana and I started dance the first week of September. We are really excited to be dancing and teaching at The Dance Gallery this year!

Andy's first real book, and other stuff too

Steve and I have begged and tried so hard over the years to get Andy to appreciate and cultivate his  reading skills. He never really liked it. Then last week he checked out a book and actually read the entire thing! And let me emphasize this part the most: We had already gotten too tired of bugging him about this and kind of had given up. Then he did it himself because HE wanted to. And we were stoked!!! We were all really proud. And the next day, he went looking for more books! Success!

Steve got an epidural steroid shot too. The point was to see if it would help with the pain he's had with a herniated disc in his back.

Sundays are nice because Jonah has been spending those days with us. This last Sunday all of our kids were having a great time together and lots of good food was cooked up.

Charity’s 10th birthday

My 41 birthday

My birthday was on Thursday, the day Eden got back from her trip. It was the first time we had our entire family all together in 3 months. So I was so thrilled for that to happen!!! We went to Kerbey Lane for dinner, then to the cheap theater to see Yesterday. Not everyone went to the movies, but it was a fantastic night.

But on Saturday night some of our closest group of friends came over for a dinner party for my birthday. 

Mike was kind enough to get this photo above, but I wanted him in one too, so he took a selfie group photo as well for me.

For the activities, I had journals for everyone that I had prepared with some thoughts on that friend written in them. Everyone came prepared to share 

1- a big life lesson they have learned, and 

2- what they hoped for their life going forward.

Steve and I love hearing what everyone shared a lot.

Each person also submitted a favorite song to me prior to the night, and we played a game to see who could guess correctly, who submitted what song. 

It turned out to be my most favorite birthday party I had ever had. I felt so super loved. And so super grateful.
