Mini-Moon 2013

Here's a quick rundown of the itinerary:
Flew from SLC to Seattle.  Stayed in Seattle overnight.  Took an Amtrack train to Vancouver Canada.  Stayed in Vancouver for about a day and a half.  Cruised from Vancouver to Nanaimo.  The next day cruised to Victoria.  Cruised back to Seattle the next day.  Flew home.
Steve in front of the Vancouver the Art Museum, which we toured.
The jelly fish invasion at the Vancouver Aquarium   This was such an awesome place and we loved all the jellyfish.

This otter swam right up to me.  So cute.

The beluga whales were pretty awesome.

We took a trolley tour in Stanley Park in Vancouver.  It was beautiful!  Steve at the Totem Poles.

These were the strong horses that lugged us around.
The artist that made the Garbage Pale Kids cards was featured at the Vancouver Art Museum.  I loved collecting these cards when I was a little girl, so it was pretty exciting for me to see this!
Steve and I in our hotel room in Vancouver.  We stayed at the Moda Hotel and really liked it.
We ate breakfast at this AMAZING restaurant in Vancouver.  It was called Griffins and was the best breakfast we had ever had in our life.   Pictures just don't do it justice.

Our cabin on the cruise ship.  It was so nice!  It ended up being more spacious actually than our hotel room in Vancouver.  We had a queen bed, a couch, desk, mini fridge, balcony, bathroom with a tub shower and toilet room!

Did I mention the balcony?  This was one of the best parts of the cruise!  We loved hanging out in a quiet place of our own and watching the views.
The view from on our balcony before leaving Vancouver.

These two kids were fiddling on the street in Nanaimo and were pretty good.

Nanaimo.  It was a gorgeous day!
We saw lots of sea planes taking off and coming in.

This rainbow house was the bomb.
 Leaving Nanaimo.
In the Azure Restaurant on the ship.

They had a band do a Beatles Tribute concert one night on the ship and they were fantastic.  We had a blast singing along and dancing our hearts out.

 Getting pulled around Victoria.

 Our driver.
We kept seeing these beautiful flower trees all over B.C.  They came in all colors and were quite vibrant.  I loved them.

This deer was just munching on a tree in someone's front yard.  Downtown Victoria.
 Craigdarroch Castle was pretty neat.
Snapping a shot on the elevator on the ship.
 Butchart Gardens was stunning!

These pictures really do it no justice at all.
Hatley Castle was my favorite thing we did the entire trip.

Hatley Castle Gardens were large and stunningly breathtaking.  Again, these pictures just don't cut it.
It was so beautiful and felt so good there.  And even better, we were the ONLY people there.  I literally cried happy tears a few times while here because it was just so beautiful and felt so great there.  Honestly my favorite place I have ever been to so far on the face of this planet.  Can't wait to go back.
We saw these two geese with their cute 5 little babies.

Watching the moon on our balcony.
Chilling in one of the comfy lounges on the ship.
This dolphin was so friendly.  I waled up to his window and he came swimming up to me and gave me this million dollar smile.
Ok.  Now the pictures are out of order.  Bear with me here.
Steve and I at Griffins.  :)  LOVE.
 I liked this beggar's style!
Saw this funny book in a shop in Nanaimo.
 And this one too.  Ha!
Hatley Castle from the parking lot.

The two of us at Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria.

Steve being heroic and carrying my bag for me up a long flight of stairs in Seattle.  We did lots of walking during this trip.
