Zooming along

We have been having plenty of online meetups.
I have had at least one Zoom call myself every single day.
I had yoga training online most of the day yesterday.
We also had an ODD meetup Saturday

And an extended Bishop Family meetup last night!

Family time :)

The last few days it has actually been such a nice time as a family and I find myself feeling happy and at peace as a result.

Moses took the photo for us, so we had to get one with him in it too.

Jonah being a funny reed flute boy.

And just as an update on Covid19, our county is officially ordered to stay home except for “essential” things like to get food or medical care as of now, and until April 13. Restriction around the country are varied. And of course so are opinions.

Body Distancing Activities

My sweet boss Christine had us teachers meet online to discuss how we will continue to teach dance to our students in a personalized way from home! Lots of changes and work to do there. But I imagine this will be good for everyone involved. As opposed to the alternative at this time.

Kids still making great art.

We are still trying to get active outside.

And we had a fun online sesh with these guys last night too.

And all my yoga teacher training has moved to online as well!

As current culture has dictated-
A whole bunch of meme and quotes are being created during this time too.

Bishops week 1 social distancing

A new normal

So the world knows that things have CHANGED.
As a family we are trying to ride the wave and find our new normal.
A week ago, school was still in session, and they were only cancelling school trips.
As a whole, our lives had changed very little. We were trying to stay informed and getting worried, but had no idea just how big the Corona-virus, aka COVID-19 was gonna get.
On Friday the kid's district announced that school will not only be out for Spring Break this week, but will be out for at least three weeks.
From the looks of things, our kids may not go back to school for quite some time.
I had a day or two of heightened anxiety and some sad tears too. Steve's job has changed a lot and he has been totally slammed. So that has been an added challenge. But we are grateful he has a job.

On Monday we started a goal of doing family yoga, as well as meditation, each day together.

Still taking walks as Spring is definitely here.
The kids have been working on nurturing some plants both inside and outside the house.

On Tuesday we went and picked up Jonah as he graduated again from rehab and entered back into his same sober living house in Austin.
These are the goats hanging out by the rehab.

Jonah was in good spirits and ready to get back to his life and job again.
He works at a grocery store that has had him working tough hours in the wake of Covid19.

As the week has gone on, more and more businesses and agencies are ramping up the messages to "social distance" with higher standards. On Thursday Andy got an email from his boss at Hat Creek that although he will still be an employee, they just can't use him right now. So that was tough for him, but understandable given the circumstances.

I set up a puzzle and craft table for the kids to keep themselves occupied.

Family Yoga - Day 3

A cute little note from Sam.

Some of Charity's artwork.

Eden and Moses came over yesterday.

And Moses was a sweetheart to play with Charity.

We are doing ok. We are very lucky to have what we have.
I feel grateful that this is definitely bringing our family closer together.
