Let the Light In- April times

Andy’s 19th Birthday

End of April

Last week I got my tree tattoo done.
Our friend Andrew brought up his Lotus for a visit.
Andrew took me for a ride to the park in it.
It definitely was a little thrilling.

The park.
Steve met us there with the kids for a little picnic.

Steve rollerblading around the lake.

Steve got to ride home in the Lotus from the park.

Becca practicing her saxophone.

Kind of an historic moment for feminism.

Becca, Andy and I got our first Pfizer Covid shots this week.

A cool new drawing of Jonah, by Eden.

Andy’s 19th Birthday!

For Andy's 19th birthday, he wanted to go out to eat at an Ethiopian Restaurant. And he wanted Hana to come too. It was so yummy!

We ordered the traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony.
That was our first coffee ceremony!

After lunch, we went to the dollar store and bought stuff for kits to give to the homeless downtown.

In the car we put the kits together.
Then we walked around the homeless camp to give them out.

Then Andy and I went for tattoos!
He asked about doing this for his birthday months ago.
So it had been planned for quite a while.
Behind each of his ears he had a biological parent's name.

And on his arm he got his biological sister's name, who was killed by a bus as a teenager.

I got a lotus shaped like a mandala; kind of.

Hanging around

I went and met a friend in person for the first time. Andrew Horner.
We spent nearly 7 hours talking. Really great guy.
Anna over here the other day.
Zoom yoga with Sherod has been lovely.
Nice post from Jonah.
Sherod's sweet twisted chair pose.

Watching a show with daddy.

Hanging out on Amy's property with Darci!
