Happy Birthday Brigg and Evelyn!

So my nephew Brigg has turned 13 and my niece Evelyn is 2 now! These kids rock. Brigg is a genius. Excellent student and awesome athlete. He definitely makes us all proud. Evelyn is just so freakin adorable. She always puts a smile on your face. Hope you guys have a fabulous day. We love you!

Why our children were late for school today.

I am making a post about this because I think that your day may come and we might have the key to your success.
Jonah went to bed with Silly Putty. (Yes, we have more than one child who is a Smarty Pants.) This morning, this is what his head looked like. It was PLASTERED on his head. I did a quick online search of what to do. Steve went to work. First he tried cooking spray. No luck. Next was peanut butter. No luck. Finally, hand sanitizer. It started to dissolve the putty away and he was able to work almost all of it out. Being in a hurry he did a little cutting too. But ultimately, all is well.
Hope this doesn't ever happen to you. But if it does, you know what to do now!

I will always love and miss this man!

I am so sad to have just heard the news that President Gordon B. Hinckley has just passed away. I LOVE this man! I remember when he was first put in. When I was 18 I read his biography and it was a life changing book for me. I was so touched and inspired by his life. I wrote him a letter then about how I loved him and was inspired by his biography. I got a letter back from him and it meant the world to me. It was kind of a funny letter. I am glad he is with his sweet wife again who I am sure he missed very much. But we will all be missing him now.

Smarty Pants

We are proud of Celeste today for getting the Academic Student of the month! She may not look more like her Dad according to the "Look alike meter", but she got the brains from him.

Lookalikes

I don't know how it happened but when I tried to post these on my blog from Heritages' website, it went to Shed's blog instead. Sorry about that Shed.
I thought these were fun to do. I was a little surprised by the results. But couldn't help but be pleased. Sorry Steve. I had really thought Celeste looked like her Daddy. Somebody disagrees. But Steve and I look alike somewhat too, so I guess it's a wash.

Update. Our Christmas

Unfortunately, when it came time to upload pictures, I realized I had not taken all that many. I had taken more video instead. And our video camara sucks. Sorry I used that word mom, but it's true! If the lighting wasn't perfect, then the video turned out bad. Almost all the video looks pretty pathetic.
Here's a photo of Celeste and Jonah acting out the Nativity story on Christmas Eve. Steve's family was there to participate.

Our children coming down the stairs on Christmas morning. They make me so happy!
This gift was by far the WORST gift I have ever bought for a child. Jonah loved it with all his heart and soul; but I have been fighting the urge to throw it away ever since Christmas has come. We have paint all over the place. Carpet, furniture, etc. This kit came with a book and all the supplies to ruin a lovely home. We've made lots of fun crafts, but the damage is worthy of filing a claim to homeowners insurance.

Merry Christmas!

Update "Number Juan"

Ok. I am feeling well enough to do a little blogging right now. I don't know how long I will feel this way so I am gonna go with a full blown catch-up.
Enjoy!

Here are a few of the Christmas presents I got. I can't believe how spoiled I was this year. I got Riverdance tickets from Steve. It was a huge surprise and I am super excited to go!

I also got a Clearplay DVD player. It filters movies. Takes out all the stuff you shouldn't really watch. I so far have only watched one DVD with it. But it worked great!
My sister in-law Alysa got me this print from Greg Olsen! This is a bad photo of it, but I just LOVE it and hung it up immediately. She is awesome!

After Christmas we went to Utah to have our Waite Family reunion. All of my siblings were there. It was wonderful to be with them all. I love them and their families very much. The day after we got there, we had a photo shoot. Below are my siblings: youngest to oldest. Sam, Molly, Andy, Me, Emily, Sherod, Tim and Anna. Best siblings a girl could have!

Here's a photo with everyone who came. Emily's oldest two, Caleb and Kennedy couldn't make it, but the rest of the munchkins were there. Molly's fiance Scott made it too.

Being goofy.
By day 2 of our trip, I started feeling pretty crummy and spent every possible chance sitting or laying down. But we did have a ski trip to Brighton. We put the kids in ski lessons so that Steve could ski and I could be lazy in the lodge. He had a great time. The kids did ok, but we know now that skiing is not their favorite thing to do. Good thing because I hate being cold and also spending $300 for one day of freezing to death.
Jonah had the "time of his life". As you can obviously see here. This was the happiest picture we got of him.

When we got back from Utah, I was in charge of a sledding activity for the Young Men and Young Women. Steve's mom was kind enough to watch the kids at home so that Steve could drive up and do everything that I should have done myself. He was super helpful and I was able to just sit by a nice big fire the whole time and enjoy watching everyone risk their lives. The youth had a great time. Steve took a hike up this hill and enjoyed that.

I'm sick!

You know, we've had a lot going on. Lot's of things to report. Lots of photos. No energy though. I am sick! So I am just gonna have to wait till I can really take some time to sit at the computer without feeling too terrible. When that time comes, you'll get to see a lot. Go ahead and get your hopes up. We'll see you all later.
