This Week

Just a random photo. Sam was sitting on my bedroom floor playing on the studio's iphone and super focused that I thought it was cute. He loves Minecraft.
Charity came home from school with this adorable photo.
Sam's preschool had a big Easter party in the park.
They had a little petting zoo where the kids could hold bunnies and ducks, and feed baby goats. It was so cute.
On snack box filling day the kids were doing their normal trade deal making. It was so funny. I love watching these deals happen. Sam was holding his box and refusing to trade. He had learned his lesson by falling for too many bad deals in the past and was not gonna fall for it anymore.
A couple of my ballet classes performed at the library this week and it was sweet watching their admiring fans afterwards.

Cast Photo

We just got the cast photo from Little Princess and I wanted to post it.

Easter Egg Hunt

Cessie, bless her heart, has been amazing this week! Since I have been laid up with my surgery, she has taken care of most everything I would be doing and even more. Our household would be in shambles without all her help. She even went and got Easter eggs and candy and put together an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids.

Jonah's Girl

Yesterday I had to man a booth at Austin Kid's Directory Fair for Arts Avenue. Because of my surgery, I needed help, so Jonah drove me and helped. But he had had a date planned with his girlfriend at the same time. She was a good sport and met us there.
That is them looking at the table across from ours.
When we got home I got this shot of them trying to take a picture together in the bathroom mirror. It is weird and hard for Steve and I to see this kid grow up and have a girlfriend. We are not excited about it. Fortunately she lives an hour away and so they have only been able to get together three times in the last couple of months.
Her name is Yanine. She is 17, half Puerto Rican, and she is sweet and pretty. They are enamored with each other.

Surgery

On Tuesday I had my right knee operated on again. This was my third operation on it. It has been giving me a lot of grief for a very long time. I have been anxious to get it fixed again but my shoulder had to be done first. The doctor said that he didn't want to fix my knee with an unstable shoulder. I needed to be able to use crutches. At my last follow up appointment for my shoulder the doctor finally felt I was ready.
So this surgery was intended to remove my old hardware, remove a cyst, remove my non-functioning ACL, and to reconstruct my bones. It ended up being more invasive than I anticipated. I ended up with five incisions, two of which are fairly large. The recovery has been tough. The plan is to get another surgery on my knee in four months if the bone grafts took well. In that surgery I will get a new ACL. So I have a long recovery ahead of me. I have no ACL right now and so the next four months I have to be super careful. I am worried about that. After the next surgery I have to wait a year to dance or run again. It is hard for me to even think about. But I do feel it is really needed. I hope it all works out for the best.

Jonah's First Date

On Saturday Jonah went on his first date! And he actually let me come along because I was nervous about him going out alone with a girl. She was such a cute girl and was a very good sport about it.
We went to dinner at Cheddar's, then hung out at Barnes and Noble.

Charity loses her first tooth

This cute thing was so excited about losing her first tooth!

Race Photo

A friend texted me and told me to check out Thanksgiving Point's Facebook Page. I did, and saw this photo as their cover photo. I laughed so hard. That was not expected!
