Last week of August!

Cessie had her first day of school for the college term yesterday. She hates getting her photo taken, so I had to try and catch her unawares. Which did not work so well, as you can see by her expression.
The Foley’s were so sweet and brought us an amazing dinner and this sweet card and gift!

Cessie posted these cool photos she took on Instagram. Had to steal.

Grandpa Waite

My Grandpa Waite died on my Dad’s birthday (and Sherod’s).  I had my hysterectomy scheduled just 14hrs after he died. So I was not able to make it to the funeral. I was sad to miss it.
My grandpa was such a good man! I am proud of who he was and all he did. I love him.

My 40th

I had a hysterectomy just 8 days before my 40th birthday. So I was still not up to doing a whole lot on the actual day. I got this sweet gift box from Eden with all kinds of things I love.
And this unique (self-made) sculpture from Sherod.
I also got some pretty amazing gifts from my friends and family that were so sweet and thoughtful and generous. And I got a lot of nice calls, texts and messages.
Steve and I went out to lunch that day and I also got to get a facial and massage! Totally spoiled.

This past weekend we celebrated with our friends. We rented this fun Airbnb in Austin for the party.

These friends came and completely brought the party with them. It was the funnest party I have been to or had. And that just made me so happy!

First day back to school

Charity 3rd Grade. Sam 1st.
Andy 10th Grade. Hana 7th.
Eden 12th Grade.
Becca 10th Grade.

Fun Stuff

Hana’s cute new hairdo.
Pre-Back-To-School facials.
Breakfast at the ever yummy Kerbey Lane.

Seeing the movie Alpha.

We sold our ghetto van!

Gotta include photos just before the sale for posterity’s sake! We made a lot of good memories in this junker!

Dance Happenings

It’s been fun teaching these four at my little garage studio! We have been using ankle and wrist weights lately in ballet technique classes and it’s been great.

We had our first Georgetown Dance Project performance for about 50 kids and some adults at the Boys and Girls Club. We brought 5 dances. And the best part was that we had a few of the teen girls we have been teaching there all Summer  there at the Club perform too! These girls were so nervous and excited! It was such a wonderful experience seeing their thrill and sense of accomplishment learning to dance and perform! And then to see their friends from the Club cheer and support them on!

Charity’s 9th Birthday

This photo was taken a couple of days before we celebrated, but I decided to throw this one in too. This is Charity with her bff Paisley! I can’t beleive how addicted these are to each other.

For her birthday we went to breakfast at IHOP with Paisley.

We also went swimming. I forgot to take photos!

For the family birthday dinner Dad made us all his blueberry pancakes and watermelon and donuts.

Becca’s 15th Birthday

How cute is this girl?!
Since she has had braces, she wont show her toothy smile in public or photo.

To celebrate her birthday she and I went to lunch at True Food Kitchen, shopped a cool bookstore in Austin, and shopped music stores.

For her birthday dinner, we had twice baked potatoes and watermelon and apple pie.

Becca is killing it in life lately! She is happy and hard working and self motivated and driven. She is an excellent student and talented and hard working musician. And she has always been a sweet and good daughter. We are so proud.

Charity & Paisley Spies

Paisley’s mom sent me these adorable photos of the girls playing spies with Paisley’s brother.

Music Video FFD

This FFD activity was one of our favorites! We got a bunch of goodies, and got everyone together to watch music videos. Everyone in the family had to choose one to share, and we watched them projected on the studio wall and blaring on the studio speaker.
