Great meeting tonight!

I haven't had anything fun to put on my blog lately and I am not feeling creative. But I must mention that tonight I really, really enjoyed the General Relief Society broadcast of the Church. My testimony was strengthened. I love this church! I know it's true. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire

This is pretty cool

Steve and I

Steve and I ran our first race together for this year. This was a 5k. This particular race I ran last year and was the first race I had ever ran. Steve did awesome and got 3rd overall place and 3rd place in the mens. I wasn't too excited about how I did but did manage to get 3rd place for the overall womens. So that was fun that we both got 3rd place medals. Steve will always be faster than me no matter how hard I try. I've only run as fast as him on a 5k time once and it just about killed me.

Another Mormonad

This one was fun for me to make too.

mormonad

We made Mormonads for mutual on Wednesday night. And here is the one I just made up for my group. It was a lot of fun!
Rachel is my sweet niece and daughter of Emily. She is one today! She is such a doll and I love and miss her.

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Happy Birthday Emily!

Today is my sister Emily's birthday! I love this girl so much. She is the perfect sister and friend. She lives way too far away though. The past couple of years she has been living in Arizona, running her household while her husband was in law school and working, she had her 5th child, and she has been going to school too. Can you say superhuman? Not to mention beautiful.
You are awesome Emily. I love you tons and tons.

I did it

As an update. I'll have you know that the nasty pan is now sparkling and properly stowed. I was also able to get the car washed and vacuumed out, the house picked up, the groceries bought, and I volunteered at the school. I even cooked dinner and homework was done tonight. We had FHE and it made for a good day. It doesn't take much to make me feel powerful. And I am feeling pretty good now. I hope tomorrow is another good day.

Confession

This is gonna be hard for me, but I need to do it. This pot is actually sitting in my car! We went to dinner at Mark and Dalana's last night and we brought mashed potatoes. The leftovers are still in the car. Gross. Anybody hungry?
I am feeling lazy. Well kind of. I did manage to run three miles this morning, walk almost another mile, and do some weight training. But I just can't get myself moving to do my job...homemaking. I've got to get this house cleaned and the car cleaned! So I thought I'd blog about it. Now that I got that off of my chest, I'll get to it.

Camping

This past weekend we did a quick camping trip to the dunes. We had a great time...outside of the wind. We were able to go to the observatory and it was fantastic!!!! We saw an amazing array of stars. We were able to look through several telescopes that were pointed to all kinds of things. We saw a double star, a nebula, another galaxy, Jupiter and four moons. That was the best part of our trip. For the first time, we had the kids in their own tent. We have used the same 4 man tent for the past 9 years. We got a steal on another tent and the kids slept in that one. We had our doors facing each other. It worked out great. The dunes were pretty cool too. Tougher to climb than I thought, but fun.

Jenny and Sara.

Jenny and Sara are Morgan sisters and my beautiful cousins. I had the most awesome memories with these girls growing up! We did all kinds of crazy and obnoxious things when we were together. We had a cheer that we promised never to do with anyone else. It had a little hand-shaking, dance type thing that went along with it. It went like this: " 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. Owe! I FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL Good!" We loved picking up on boys and then fighting about who got the man. We loved singing and dancing together too. We planned to grow up and live near each other and raise our children together. Times with Jenny and Sara were some of my very favorite childhood memories. I peed my pants laughing almost every time we got together. Sara's birthday is tomorrow. Happy Birthday Sara!

Cousins

The Waite girls and Morgan girls. (Molly is missing.) Growing up, us girls were all very close! The Morgan girls are all so beautiful and fun. I love them.

A very special weekend.

Four generations. Celeste, Elizabeth Waite, Becca, Eden, Emogene Bailey and Amanda. Sept. 2, 2007.
This past weekend my parents, sisters, brother, and Grandma Bailey came to town for a party for my Aunt Mary and Uncle Gus' 40th wedding anniversary. It was awesome! My Grandma's health is in bad condition so they had decided not to come. But last minute, they changed their minds and we were so glad they did! It was such a great time.
