Hana

Hana got her hair done this week. She asked to keep it really long for just a couple of days. She likes it long, but it is just impractical. We got some photos before I chopped it.

 

She was also trying out costumes at the studio this week. She looked so cute, I had to get a couple of photos of her in them too.

Jonah's 17th Birthday

Cessie's 18th Birthday!

 

Yesterday was Cessie's birthday. It was another gorgeous day! It started out with her and I going to Flix movies to see "Hidden Figures", which was an excellent movie. A tradition that has been a part of her birthday choices nearly every year for the last several years, is going to the movies. Last year we saw "Star Wars", we couldn't remember the year prior. But before that it was "Frozen" and the year before that it was "Les Miserables". 

She also loves going to Olive Garden. So we took the whole family there for lunch. Except for Jonah who was sick.

After Olive Garden, I took her to Barnes and Noble. She loves reading so much and struggled choosing which to buy.

Then we came home and after a while, we had her dinner of Greek Salad and Key Lime pie. And we ended the night watching the new season of Sherlock. It was a great day!

Jonah turns 17

Today was Jonah's 17th birthday. It was a gorgeous day!

Jonah insisted that all he wanted to do was go down to Austin and walk around. I kept trying to push all these other activities on him, but he insisted on just walking. He loves to go on long walks often. And he said that he wanted to do it in Austin because the scenery around Georgetown was just starting to get boring.  

So we started out by spending about an hour walking around Zilker park. There were a lot of turtles, and a large variety of birds and wildlife. Here Jonah is taking a picture of some turtles on a tree.  

We also spent about another hour walking around downtown and had pizza at a place on the famous 6th Street.   

Then Jonah wanted to go check out the graffiti wall. Pictures don't do this place justice. It really is pretty cool.  

Jonah loved it. 

  For dinner Jonah requested steak and A-1 sauce and a traditional cake.  

It was a nice day.   

Steve's birthday week

 

This week Steve had a birthday! The day before his birthday he and I went out on a nice date. The night of his actual birthday, I made a nice dinner and we celebrated as a family at home.

This is a photo of Charity and Payton practicing their duo for an upcoming competition. It is painfully cute! 

 

And this is the fam having a picnic lunch at Lake Georgetown. The weather has been so nice lately!

Steve's birthday 2017

Audition in Dallas

This photo is just getting thrown in this post. Sonic wearing the outifit Eden made for her.

 

Yesterday I took Hana and Becca to Dallas for a dance audition. They were trying out for Ballet Austin's Summer Intensive. 

We couldn't make the Ausin auditions, so chose the Dallas one instead.   

They both said they were the worst dancers there. But they were younger, and also my girls have had no more than one hour of ballet a week with just only maybe a year's worth of months, training. So I was proud of them. They were excited regardless and happy for the experience. We should be notified of the results in a couple of weeks. 

Afterwards we ate at Cracker Barrel in Waco, on the drive home. It was a great day!
