End of Year Graduations & Celebrations
Eden made this George Harrison painting on her skateboard. She is OBSESSED with the Beatles!
We had our end of year dance recital for Arts Avenue. I directed this show. I was very busy working on planning it and making sure it all flowed well, but managed to forget the difficulty of being a dance mom and getting my girls ready for the show. The makeup and hair alone was a lot to think about!
But I also had to worry about more than 100 dance students being organized and entertained backstage and making sure everyone made it on and off in time. It took a lot of thought and planning.
Just making sure we had all the necessary costumes and time to get in and out of them, was a minor detail.
Sam had his Kindergarten Graduation at Grace Episcopal. This was him marching in with his class, and Andy laughing in glee at the cuteness of it all.
When he was on the "stage" Sam did not want to smile. He thinks smiling isn't cool for photos. So he tries to hide his happiness.
Hana had her "Completion Ceremony". Don't know why they didn't just call it a graduation ceremony. She completed elementary school/5th grade. It was a nice ceremony.
We also had our end of year class parties at Arts Avenue. This was our Dance Company. Such wonderful girls!
And we had tryouts for our Dance Company for next year. We are starting a new Mini team! Charity will be on it!
We went swimming to celebrate the end of the school year at our neighborhood pool.
Sam wanted to "sunbave".

Mother's Day Anniversary
This is my lazy way of posting things sometimes, by just posting screenshots of my Instagram. Life's crazy. Be forgiving of me.
Eden made this cute watercolor!
Sam giving us his tough guy face.
Eden made this cute breakfast for me for Mother's Day. I was impressed by her egg heart inside the toast and the heart shaped watermelon. She was such a sweetheart cooking and cleaning for me for Mother's Day.
I got some other cute gifts, (not all pictured), from Charity and Sam.

Our week
This past week Steve had to go to San Jose for some training at work. We all missed him a lot. He gave Sam a horseback ride and played the babies' favorite game "Chompers" to help make up for being gone. Charity has been working hard and planning for a while for Mother's Day coming up. She is such a sweetheart.
After a long day, Sam knocked out, mid-snack.
Steve and I went running at Berry Springs. It's just a hidden Garden of Eden just a few miles from home. We love this place!
Becca and Hana are always practicing dancing these days.
We had a couple of picnics with the kids this past weekend. One of these times Steve got a fire going so we could roast some hot dogs and smores.

Another busy week down
This week we had our Company dancers perform at Sam's school. So Becca and Hana (and I!) danced. You can see the back of Sam's head in this photo below. He's in the striped green and dark shirt closest to the camera.
We also had picture day with the Company Dancers. I had to jump in for a photo with these girls I love so much.
Charity's friend, (and my bff's daughter), came over the play the other day.
We had Poppy Festival on Saturday and all three Bishop dancer girls performed.
Andy also competed in the state track meet. No photos :( And both of his basketball teams competed in a tournament. He had to bow out of one tournament, otherwise it would have been 6 basketball games, and a track meet, and Poppy Festival all in one day. Fortunately, it was just Poppy Festival, Track Tournament, and 3 basketball games as part of a tournament, all in one day.
But Andy ran well, getting 2nd we think in the 100m, and winning the basketball tournament with the Bobcats team. We are unsure of the other results of the track meet so far. He was in 2 other relays and we haven't heard the results yet because they run in various heats.
Last night when Steve and I went to get ready for bed, we found these sweet drawings by Charity on our respective mirrors in our bathroom. They say "Mother/daughter love" and "Daddy/daughter love".
