An update on our little lives

We bought this van^^
Having the picture so tiny (hopefully) helps hide how gigantic this monster just is. It's a t-w-e-l-v-e passenger. I affectionately call it "The Beast" and I, of course am "Beauty." But Steve and the kids call it "Big Larry." I don't relish driving this thing around... But every time we fill up the natural gas tank with prices anywhere between $1.00-$1.30/gallon, we will be shouting BOOYAH!

And the reason for getting that bad boy?...the 3 children that will be joining our family this year. Want an update on that situation?

Well, we still have not gotten clearance to travel to pick up our kids in Ethiopia. The wait is getting harder each day. We never thought it would take this long. Some people ask me what's delaying it, but it's really lame and a bit complicated to explain so I will just say that nothing has gone wrong and we still expect to get them home soon.

And as far as my pregnancy~ I am still pregnant! And it's a boy! Everything is looking good so far. My sickness is waaaay better! But I do have a little trouble with contractions. But the baby looks good and we are hoping and praying for the best. I see my doctor every other week and she is great. She does an ultrasound every time I see her. So it's been pretty cool to watch this baby grow and progress so closely from early on. My doctor is not letting me go to Ethiopia though to pick up our kids. I feel really bummed about that, but she says it's just too risky for me. And so I'll stay.

Beyond that, there's nothing else to report.

We are so excited for all the kids coming to your family this year! :) We keep you all in our prayers. Smart move on the van! I've driven those big ol' vans, and I think once you get used to it, it'll be easy peasy. Especially when you hear the happy sounds of your kids behind you. :)

Great news. When is your due date?

Erin- Sept 28th. In other words, way too far away!

That van is a great investment. When your kids are grown you can make extra money shuttling people up from Mexico.

So, do you have to have a special drivers license to drive that thing? What do your kids think of it??

AWESOME van!! I had some cousins with a big 12-passenger van, when I was growing up. It was soooo fun! I'm so curious about the natural gas tank... never heard of it. (revealing my ignorance here.) Sounds GREAT!

I'm glad to get this little update on your pregnancy and your adoptions. We continue to pray for you, that all goes well. Love you guys!
