Charity being her cute self.
I chaperoned the Middle School Dance again. It was fun. They had me kind of MC. I was asked to announce over the microphone prize drawings between each song. As well as other things. I was being a bit too obnoxious with it, but the kids seemed to enjoy it and think I was fun. I managed to not embarrass my kids, I think... We had a good time.

The hubs
Steve has gotten super competitive with me when playing Song Pop. He doesn't win often, but when he does, he gets pretty stoked. It's cute. Makes me want to let him win more often.
Celeste's "Guy Friend"
His name is Tanner. He is in the same grade as Celeste and same age, and he is twice her size. But we all love him. He is a really great kid. He is a genius...for real. And he is a pianist who writes his own music and it is beautiful. These are a couple of photos we took with him when he came over for dinner the other night.
Waite Family Reunion
On our way! My sweet mom drove us because I was only a week out of knee surgery.
Us adults hung out in this room chatting a lot of the time. This was my room. We stayed at the old Courthouse in Junction Utah. There was not anything really there in the town, but we really liked where we stayed. Plenty of room for us all.
Eden, Blythe and Sarah were buddies the entire time and had a great time together.
Everyone getting ready for mom and dad's Easter Egg contest. We were on teams, had to find the eggs, put the puzzles together that had been placed in the eggs, and try to beat the other teams in finishing. This was serious business because mom and dad had bought very cool prizes for this contest!
Sam trying to eat the plastic banana that had been in a basket for decor.
Sam kicking back for a while.
The reunion went from a Thursday through a Tuesday. Steve was only able to join us Friday night through Sunday afternoon. But these kids were sure happy to see their Daddy.
All the grandkids. 30 of them. Numbered in order of birth.
The "Talent Show." These girls did a couple of cute skits for us.
Hana showing off.
Evelyn showing off.
Tim and Jesse singing.
Jack singing the ABC's.
Scarlet dancing for us with help from her daddy.
Nyah and Hana doing the splits.
Sarah doing ballet.
Dad doing a little magic trick ~ The Disappearing leg one.
Becca and Nyah dancing.
On Easter Sunday we had our own church services at the courthouse. The Grandkids sang "He Sent His Son".
Caleb gave a great talk about the Atonement.
Anna and Blythe sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives."
Dad conducted. Brenda gave a powerful talk that brought many of us to tears. She is amazing.
Stinkumpots.
Hana loves getting her picture taken.
Some Easter Bunnies enjoying their wares.
Another Easter Egg Hunt.
Sam's dog. His name is Satan. Yeah.
Sam trying on glasses. His arms look like crab claws for some strange reason.
Charity was pooped from all the fun.
Sam getting help from Celeste to find some eggs.
This reunion was soooooo much fun!
Knee Surgery
I had knee surgery on March 21st. I got a new ACL and my meniscus was repaired. I got an ACL from a cadaver, which I think was pretty neat. I was given instructions from the hospital staff on how to write a "thank you" letter to the family of the donor. I sent off that letter this week.
The procedure went well. I had a typical recovery, I believe. I still am working on that. I was spoiled by my family and friends and so well cared for, that I think it made the recovery way better than it could have been. I was so incredibly thankful for that! These photos are super nasty, but here are a couple of photos of my legs a few days after surgery. The swelling was pretty enormous. The pain was bad, but bearable, fortunately.
I need to post a photo now of how it looks, but it looks so much better, but I am not really in the mood to take more photos of my legs. Just take my word for it. I did have someone at church today actually ask me to raise up my floor length skirt so that they could see my knees. Kind of funny.
