The view out my bedroom window

I kept hearing a lot of chatting out front and looked out my window to see who it was. And it just made me smile to see this. Seeing our kids with the neighbor children is a nice sight.
These kids love each other.

Sick

I had a very rough few days over the weekend with a kidney infection. I ended up being in the hospital for a couple of days because the vomiting and pain got a little too out of control. I couldn't keep the antibiotics down to fight the infection. And I couldn't keep enough water and food down either, so I got very dehydrated and nutrient deficient. I think I had 6 bags of IV fluid, 5 bags of potassium, and some other bags of other nutrients, I cannot recall, and of course the IV antibiotics, put in me. I've been home for three days now though and am much improved. I just still feel weak.

Road Trip Days 4-8

These photos are in reverse order. Oh well. I am not even sure if these photos will show up on the blog because I am having all kinds of trouble trying to get my blog to work correctly these days. I am not sure what is going on! Anyways, the photo above is a montage of just some of the things we came across on our final night of the trip at a nasty Super 8 motel in Belen New Mexico. Looked like a former crime scene there.

On the drive home Eden requested we see some Breaking Bad sites. So we stopped by the house where the residents were super annoyed by the tourists. And we stopped at "Los Pollos Hermanos", which in real life is Twisters. Honestly a weird fast food joint, but I wont get into that. We did enjoy being where the show had been filmed.

The kids made some friends at the pool where we stayed in Cortez Colorado one night. Although only one of those girls in this in this photo here.

We stopped at Brent and Jen's shortly in Lehi and got to see some of their kids, as well as Janice's kids.

We also stopped to see Benjamin's grave in Boise before we headed out of town. The 10 year anniversary of his delivery was last week. The kids cleaned his grave and Sam was cute and left a little bouncy ball for him.

Grandma Bailey's Funeral

Images from my Grandmother's funeral, I think may not show. I am having such trouble getting photos up for some reason!
I will write a little about the funeral itself though.
First my Grandmother Emogene Romine Bailey died on Thursday March 8 at about 4:15pm at her assisted living residence with my mother by her side. I am unsure of whether or not anyone else was there, but I think my dad may have been. She had dementia very badly for a few years. And her health was failing. She had a bad fall back in December that ended up getting her in with Hospice care. My mom said she stopped eating and drinking about a week prior to her death and that the death itself seemed to last too long with much gasping for air. But I know that all of her children were ready to say goodbye for her sake really because she was suffering, old, and had been without her husband for too many years.
The funeral was so sweet. I especially loved all the stories about her. She was a smart, hard working, patient and kind woman and a wonderful mother. I really admire and respect her and take a lot of inspiration from her very challenging life. She was also a wonderful grandmother to me! She taught me how to sew, she helped me with anything I asked her for help with, and she always lived within walking distance of me my whole growing up years. In the last home we lived in, she was just in her mobile home in our backyard, making seeing her so much easier. And I enjoyed going out to see her. She also accompanied us on several of our family vacations. I love her dearly. Lots of her posterity was at the funeral. All but two of her 9 children came with their spouses. (My Uncle Don and Tom were not there.) And many of her grandchildren came, and some of her great grand children came. The funeral was at my parent's church in Meridian and was held in the Relief Society Room. Afterwards we had a luncheon put on by the Relief Society for the family. I believe there were about 60 of us there!

Old Photos - Bishop Side

Stepping into Steve's parent's home is like stepping into a time capsule. It is really neat all the old photos and memorabilia that they have around. I had Susan talk to me about some of the things and I just got video of that because I thought it would be easier than interviewing her and having to transcribe it. So I will attach the videos separately that explains who some of these people are.
