Ballet

I started taking ballet again!  It's an adult class through Ballet West and it is so fun!

I am faaaaar from being able to dance the way I use to be able!  But I was surprised that I held my own besides some pretty good dancers. I start teaching again next week.  Three classeson Thursday nights.  I am really looking forward to being back in the dance scene again!

Celeste's first day of High School

This photo was taken the first day of High School for Celeste, (which in our area is 10th grade.)

But it ended up not being her first day.  Soon after she left, parents were notified that school was cancelled due to a bomb threat!  

They actually caught the guy just a few days later and arrested him.  

So the school officially started the next day.  What a crazy start for her!

She has been enjoying it so far.  She likes her teachers and classes.

The Littles Start School

Last week Charity started Kindergarten.  She has been so anxious and excited for this day to come!  It is half day Kindergarten, and she goes to the same school as Jonah, Eden, Andy, Becca, and Hana.

On the way to the school she got a sudden case of nerves and was so scared. But as soon as she got in the classroom and saw how fun it was, she was all smiles.

She loved her first day.

This week Charity and Sam started a little preschool nearby in someone's home.  I was only going to send Sam, but Charity is very very behind in her academics for her age, that I ended up deciding to have her go too.  It's just twice a week and is not at the same time as Kindergarten and is shorter.

They had so much fun!  It is bilingual and based off of Montessori.  

They had such a good time,that when they realized they wouldn't being going every day, they threw tantrums.

My birthday

 

Well, the fourth and final August birthday (mine,) came finally.  Phew!  

It was awesome!  Steve made reservations for us to go up to Snowbird and stay at their lodge there.  It was really nice and it was gorgeous up there.  We had a fireplace and a balcony that we enjoyed.  We went out to dinner at Cheesecake Factory.  I love that place!  In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast there and then got to ride their tram up the mountain.

It was cold up there!  And we had snow in the morning.  












After that I went running while Steve rode his bike by me.  We came into a nasty storm and had to cut it short.  We were having rain, then hail and sleet.  So instead of doing 15 miles, I only got in about 8.  Anyhow, it was the perfect weekend!
