Christmas Stroll

The city of Georgetown does a "Christmas Stroll" every year. It lasts for three days. It seems most of the city comes out and it is AMAZING!!! In fact, Georgetown is 7th in the USA for Christmas destinations! We were blown away by this event. They block off the streets of downtown, it is all lit up and decorated and people come from all around to celebrate Christmas. They had an entire block set up to be "Bethlehem" with shops and booths to look like Bethlehem in Biblical times. They even had Mary and Joseph, donkey and all! The other streets around the square also had all kinds of neat booths set up.
And to top it off, they set up two stages and have shows going on free of charge.
Our Arts Avenue kids were given some time to perform. 5 of my classes performed, as well as Mary Poppins and Little Princess casts. Jonah and Eden are in Mary Poppins and Becca and Hana are in A Little Princess. They were so wonderful!
Charity performed too. But I didn't get any photos of it. So sad. I was too busy standing in front of the stage leading the girls. And Steve wasn't able to get some either. You will just have to trust me that she was wonderful too.
