They were so kind to show us a super fun day.
A couple of weeks ago, Steve, the kids and I were reminiscing about the days of being Mormon. Not that any of us have any desire to rejoin whatsoever! Just remembering what it was like. Some of the kids could hardly remember being a part of it at all. So they decided they wanted to go back to see it over again with new eyes. It was a curiosity thing, and we were happy to oblige. So we called on the Findley’s to let us crash their ward.
And this photo of Sam with the Sacrament cup over his lips, and Charity’s reaction might have be my favorite part of this experience at church ;)
It really felt weird to be back. March of 2015 was the last time we had attended a Mormon meeting!
Overall it was not a bad experience. Their ward members were kind and everyone did fine.
After church we stopped at their house for snacks and to change our clothes.
Sam and Spencer immediately hit it off with a pillow fight.
We stopped for pizza, then headed out to the lake.
The Findley's boat was such a nice one and we felt spoiled!!!!
None of our family had tried surfing before. So this was an experience! I tried water skiing once when I was a kid, but I think that was the depth of the Bishop family experience in these type of things.
Andrea started out by showing us how it was done. And she killed it! We were all thoroughly impressed!
Several times people jumped in to cool off in the water.
Mike was such a stud surfing with Sam and Charity! They had a blast!!
