Christmas 2020

A screengrab of Jonah's social media post Christmas Eve.
He is doing well lately, and happy with his job and his music hobby.

On Christmas Eve, Charity sent me a sweet text requesting to do something special for her little brother. She is such a sweetheart!

On Christmas morning we waited for Eden and Jonah to arrive to start.
Anna was not able to come over until the evening. We missed her, but she was happy and had enjoyed her day with Derek.

We started Christmas morning with a little family meditation.

After meditation, the kids all opened one gift.
It was their Christmas PJ's. I then sent them all to their rooms while Santa did a little last minute setup downstairs.

Then the kids came down the stairs.

We have always kept our Christmas budget small and simple each year.
But the kids were all sweet and gracious about their gifts.

The gifting this year was a little different. A couple of weeks ago, I took the kids that wanted to, shopping. The kids who came were: Andy, Hana, Charity and Sam. I allowed them all to pick out what they wanted for Christmas. The deal was that as soon as we got home from shopping, all the goods were hidden in my closet and they were instructed to forget what they picked out, haha!
Then I wrapped them all up, and they opened them on Christmas.
The other kids had the option of telling me what they wanted, or being surprised.

After the gifts, Hana, Charity and Sam wanted to go out for a walk.
They brought bikes and a skateboard.

We usually like going to the movies on Christmas. But this year we just watched Home Alone.
And stuffed ourselves with food all day.
