New Kitchen and FFD

Here's what our kitchen looked like before
And how it looks now
Please ignore the table, chairs, stools and fridge that stick out like a sore thumb. I can't buy all new stuff only for looks when they are perfectly functional. That's what I tell myself to feel better anyhow.
And I still need to put photos in that frame and I have an idea for decor on top of the cabinets, but you get the idea at least.

On another note: Here are some photos from yesterdays' Family Fun Day

Steve looking mighty cool on that ice. (Celeste did not want to be pictured. Charity and I just hung out on dry ground.)

Love the kitchen...And not that you have tons of extra time, but an inexpensive way to get "new" chairs and stools would be to lightly sand them and then stain or paint them. You can probably get more details online or at a home improvement store, but you just lightly sand to give "grit" so the stain sticks. Maybe try a stool and see if you like it. Since you keep the table covered you wouldn't have to do much to it for now. You could probably get a stain really close to the cabinets or paint the the color you want. Just a thought. Would you like some company from Florida to come help?

It looks great Amanda! I'm impressed with your decorating skills. I was worried about you after talking to you last week so I'm glad it worked out.

You have the best FFD's. You have inspired us and we have made it a regular thing around here. Can't wait to see you this week!!

Looks great! I need to get on the ball around here. I have the same table/fridge problem. My table looks the same as yours. Post pictures if you do something about it! I've thought about changing the color for a while.

Looking good! Is that every room? What's left? I still have half-finished rooms in my house, and we've been here for going on five years.

Thanks for the suggestion Carrie. Maybe I'll get to that some time. it's a great idea. I acutally hadn't thought of it.

Jespy, I've still got the bathrooms, laundry room, family room and my bedroom. I am planning to start on my room next week. And I think I'll do the bathrooms before too long too. But the family and laundry rooms are gonna have to wait a while. A long while most likely.

you can also sell the tables/chairs and use the proceeds to buy something new to match your redecorating.
