Our Week

Last weekend Eden said she had some art competition at another high school. I asked her the details, but she just kept shrugging it off and mentioned that this was not an exhibit that people could go see. So she went on her own. Later we found out that she got the top score on both of her pieces. One of her pieces she said she had done just the day before and couldn't believe it performed so well. The other one, won! So she is going on to the State level of the competition.
We're so proud of all the talent this girl has!
The photo below is a screenshot of the announcements that the High School emailed out to everyone, that mentions Eden.

Hopefully I will get to see the art itself before too long (the school held onto them). At that point, I will post photos.

Sam and Daddy getting snuggly the other night.

Charity and Sam at their 2nd gymnastics class. They LOVE it!!!

A photo of the school Spring photos Charity and Sam came home with. I never buy these, but they always send them home anyways.

Jonah had his 18th birthday yesterday! He and I talked about different grand plans of how to celebrate. But he ended up wanting to spend most of the day holed up in his room playing around with his new laptop that he got, instead. (We go a little bit bigger for bday gifts when it is for an 18th.) I had to talk him into at least going to the movies with me that night. We went and saw Black Panther, which we both enjoyed. For his dinner, he just wanted steak and ice cream. That is all. So that is what we did. Since we only have a few people in our family even willing to eat red meat, there was a lot of steak leftover for Jonah.

Today Andy had his first ever High School Track Meet. He did quite well! Especially considering the Track kids have been practicing since the middle of January, but he couldn't because his basketball team made it further into the season, making District Champs. So he had only had 3 track practices before this meet. He was in three races, all Mens Junior Varsity. He was in the 4 x 100, in which they won 1st place, the 4 x 200 in which they also won 1st place, and the 200 meter in which he won 2nd place (but 1st place in his heat). So all in all, pretty great!
