Baby and Camping

No. Our baby didn't come while we were camping. But I've got a couple of photos of her for you to see from our latest ultrasound. So cute! Here she is looking like she's yawning. I think she looks like Eden with that wide bridge to her nose and her chubby cheeks.
So we went camping and it was a lot of fun! Becca "helped" set up camp by trying to drive the stakes to the tent in.
It was beautiful there!
Jonah rapidly set out to find bugs.
The kids and I shortly after we got everything all set up.
We played Monopoly and Jonah made a fool out of me.
Gotta make smores-
I didn't think Steve was going to be able to make it, but he surprised us and showed up at 10 pm that first night! I had only brought one tent (a 4 man) thinking he wouldn't be there. So we were squished in there pretty good. But it was nice to have another adult there--even if in my delirium, his snoring kept making me think a bear was outside the tent growling.
The kids sure looked cute in the morning all huddled up together. You can't see Celeste because she is buried in her sleeping bag. Steve left before they even woke up :(
But the kids and I took a nice little hike in the morning.
We did a little watercolor and charcoal art too.
The 2nd night the Butlers came up and hung out for dinner.
I'm looking forward to going again...when I'm not pregnant that is.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun - I can't imagine being as far along as you, sleeping in a tent on the ground - I really hope you had a comfy air mattress to sleep on!

You went camping just you and your kids?!?!?! Without your husband?!?!?! Pregnant?!?!?! I thought this was some sort of group family thing. You're wild!!!

Cute baby! I thought she looked like Eden too.

I have to agree with Amy but adding that..you are nutts! There bears alone would keep me away. I cant believe how clear those ultra sound pics look. Boy technology has really improved in the last 8 years since I had a kid

Those ultrasound pictures are amazing! I can't believe how detailed they are. You are right, she does look a little like Eden. I can't wait to see her IRL! It's getting close!!!

Your camping adventure looked fun, but I'm convinced you are the coolest mom to take your kids practically by yourself and also pregnant! Good job. I thought Anna and her family was going to go?

Taking kids camping without any help doesn't amaze me as much as doing it while pregnant! I have a hard time in my own bed and can't begin to imagine sleeping on the ground inside a tight sleeping bag! What a woman!

Oh, and those ultra sound pix are amazing!

Oh my gosh, those are the clearest ultrasound pictures I have ever seen! She looks like a three month old. And exactly like Eden. So stinkin' cute! I could hardly recognize Eden without her glasses, btw. Glad you had a good time camping, brave mama!

Where'd you go camping? Looks so pretty! I'm so amazed that you took on camping alone with all your kids...even though hubby showed up...you hadn't planned on it...and preggo too! I'm not that tough...kuddos to you!

You did what?!?!??!?! You are more than brave. How pregnant are you? In the woods? Didn't you see that episode of "I didn't know I was pregnant" where she had her baby in the campground bathroom?

The ultrasound pictures are so cute. I had those done with Charlotte and they are so cool. I have to agree, your so brave to take all the kids camping by yourself, I would never do it. I'm afraid to be in the mountains by myself.

Those ultrasound picture are great! I have never seen that clear of 3d ultrasound pictures. How neat to be able to see her that well before she's even born. She looks like a cutie and I'm glad everything is going so well in the pregnancy. Can you believe you'll have her this month?! I was thinking the same thing as everyone else, WHAT A GOOD MOM YOU ARE. And to even have crafts for them to do while up there. How fun!

Okay - I feel like a wimp, now. I made Scott take the boys camping, and I stayed home. You must not have to pee 3-4 times during the night like me... that's what kept me from going. Well done for accomplishing such a task, and I'm glad the baby didn't come while you were there. :). Cute photos, too.

Oh my goodness! Those are the most gorgeous ultrasound pictures EVER! I can't wait to meet such a sweetheart girl. Bet you can't, either!!

And, what can I say about your CAMPING TRIP!?! WOW!! You are a trooper, Amanda!! 4 kids, pretty much by yourself?! and PREGNANT!? Wow! Looks like you had a great time. That's great that Steve could join you, even if it was short... and tight. ;)

um, I'm pretty much overwhelmed just THINKING about you taking four kids camping almost entirely by yourself and while you were so pregnant!! Go Amanda GO! :) I love the art outside- you are a fun mom! And the picture of Jonah with his bug is just precious! And the ultrasound-- that is amazing how they can do those now!! She looks so DARLING! I can't wait to hold her soon! :)
