Family Fun Day

This weeks F.F.D. was a lot of fun. Once again we got to spend it with the Butlers. We took a hike up in the canyon to a little waterfall. We think we hiked close to 3 miles total.
(Steve, Becca and I did about a mile more thanks to being misled by an unnamed individual.)
Steve carried either Becca or Eden on his shoulders for much of the hike.
When he threw Becca up there she said to her Daddy "You're my new best friend!" This is the view I had from behind Steve. A little plumbers crack.
The view from down below.
The wild ones.
The view from above.
The waterfall.
I had to include these photos of my birthday cake. I came home from lunch with Anna, Dana, and Natalie on my birthday and Steve had bought this cake and placed 30 candles on it.
It was a regular bonfire.

This is Becca trying to shield her face from all the smoke after I blew out the candles.
Thanks babe. It was a great day though.

That cake really is a bonfire-- I can say that cuz I'm older-- not telling how much though!

Glad you had fun, I wish I could do something like that. You know leaving the house and getting into nature.
Miss you!

How fun! I am so jealous!! SO not fair, but I'm happy for you guys. Glad your birthday was fun! That picture of Becca choking on the smoke is hilarious!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I'm glad you had people to hang out with for your birthday. Way to go Steve for getting you a cake.

I make the collages on Picassa, which I think Chris downloaded from the net.

That hike looks beautiful, and so does the cake by the way. I am glad you had such a great birthday. :) You are an amazing girl. emphasis on girl because you are always as young as you feel.

Looks like it was a beautiful day with a great view. I need to get back outside again before the weather gets bad. I need some beautiful views to help me make it through the winter. :)

Happy Birthday! I forgot we shared a birthday (except I am 3 years older, ug) And I forgot how beautiful that place where you live is. I haven't been there since college. :(. Take care.

Happy Birthday! Can't beleive you left Boise but it sounds like it was a good move.

Utah does have some great places to go with your family. I did have some fun times living there.

That last picture was hilarious ;)! What a gorgeous place to hike. That photo of the waterfall looked like it should be made into a poster with some kind of inspirational message printed across it! And the plumber's crack---I'm glad it was Becca's and not Steve's :O!

We missed you at Dusty's birthday dinner the other night. Your friend Robin wanted to draw a face on a balloon to represent you and take pictures with it :)!. Just know you're still thought about and discussed regularly!

Have a great week!

I'm glad that you are finding fun things to do for your FFD's. It's fun to explore new places.

It was very sweet of Steve to get you a birthday cake, even though it was a bit cheeky to put all those candles on it! The least he could have done was get you a bigger cake to put them all on!

(I swear I left a comment--grr) Beautiful pictures! Utah is gorgeous! Maybe we should have gone there this summer. Hmm. A hike in NV would have looked much different. BTW, every day is FFD in the Esplin home. We love watching Sponge Bob.

Thanks for sharing FFD with us Bishop style and all. Hope you didn't get totally irritated about the getting lost thing and will give us another try sometime. LOVE living by you BTW!!!

Your pictures made me miss Utah. My friends and I did alot of hiking when I lived there, and biking, and racquetball playing. All of which stopped when I moved to San Jose, and the big backside that I had even when I did all that stuff got even bigger. So I hear ya on the weight loss thing.

We need to have a "family fun" day, but it seems like every Saturday we're doing church stuff: Ward Temple Day, helping someone move, canvassing for the Yes on Prop 8 thing, playing piano for a baptism, primary Sat activity, etc etc etc. We have every Saturday this month booked until the 27th.

Enjoy the time while Steve is home, I try and do that when Sam is between jobs, (with varying degrees of success). It's always tough when he starts back...
